Woman Who Cut Baby From Stranger's Womb Guilty

A woman who cut a stranger's baby from her womb after luring her with an online ad for free maternity clothes has been found guilty of attempted murder.
Dynel Catrece Lane
Dynel Lane showed little emotion as she was also convicted of assault and unlawful termination of a pregnancy following last year's attack in Colorado.
The case has reignited the debate over the legal rights of foetuses after Lane was not charged with murdering the unborn child.
The trial heard how the 35-year-old faked a pregnancy, and when her husband became suspicious she lured Michelle Wilkins to her home with an ad on Craigslist.
Lane bludgeoned, stabbed and choked the 27-year-old until she passed out.
Her weapons included a lava lamp used to bash Ms Wilkins over the head and two kitchen knives with which she extracted the foetus.
When her husband returned home, Lane told him she had suffered a miscarriage and he rushed her to a hospital along with the deceased foetus.
Wilkins, who had been seven-and-a-half-months pregnant, managed to call 911 from the basement of the Longmont home where police later found her clinging to life.
"I do hope she finds the time to reflect on what she did," Ms Wilkins told reporters outside court.
Lane will be sentenced on 29 April.
