My Trial, A Mockery Of Judiciary - Dasuki

The embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA), retired Col. Sambo Dasuki, has warned the Federal Government that his current trial at the Federal High Court over alleged possession of firearms and money laundering would end up making a mockery of the nation’s judiciary.

Col. Dasuki said that the Federal Government had lost the moral ground to seek his conviction on the allegations having itself been in contempt of three separate courts that admitted him to bail, but consistently rebuffed by the Federal Government.
Dasuki’s lead counsel, Joseph Dauda  (SAN), stated this at the Abuja court as he raised objection to commencement of trial of the former  NSA, maintaining that government must first purge itself before it should be granted indulgence by Justice Adeniyi Ademola.
