Eleven people have survived a Bristow helicopter crash that occurred around the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, eyewitnesses have said.
The crash has been confirmed by the Public Relations Officer, South-West National Emergency Management Agency, Ibrahim Farinloye.
Farinloye also said emergency workers are already on the scene of the incident.
An official of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency said the helicopter was en-route Lagos from Port Harcourt.
The crash occurred five months after another helicopter crash in Lagos claimed the lives of six people.
In August 2015, a Bristow Helicopter with 12 people on board had crashed into the Lagos Lagoon, killing six people including the pilot and co-pilot.
The helicopter was flying to Lagos from an oil rig in Delta State when the crash occurred.
