President Buhari to spend N104.744m on refreshment

– President Buhari has a total of N39.124 billion within the financial year.
– To spend N3.914 billion on maintenance of the state house facilities
– Refreshment and meals at the State House will consume about N104.744 million
A fresh revelation by Daily Trust has revealed that a new contract project for the maintenance of the State House facilities in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital will gulp a total of N3.914 billion within the financial year.

This much was contained in the 2016 budget estimate where N39.124 billion was allocated for President Muhammadu Buhari.
In the budget as well, refreshment and meals at the State House will consume about N104.744 million, as newspapers purchase will take a total of N11.406 million.
Out of this N39.124 billion, the new annual routine maintenance of Villa facilities by JBN is said to gulp about N3.914 billion.
According to Daily Trust, the State House is also billed to purchase new vehicles totaling N877.015 million in 2016 as the breakdown reveals the purchase of motor vehicles to chalk up about N599.015 million, even as the purchase of buses runs to N278 million.
While a total of N115.829 million is billed for the wildlife conservation within the State House in 2016, N89.172 million has been earmarked for the purchase of canteen/kitchen equipment, while telephone charges will consume N30.601 million.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has attacked Nigeria’s minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, amid comments made by the former All Progressives Congress (APC) spokesperson that the president will not be distracted in its battle against corruption.
